Ethiopians in Diaspora express delight.
Ethiopians and foreign nationals of Ethiopian origin residing in Canada have congratulated the people of Ethiopia for the peaceful manner in which the May 23, 2010 elections were held.
According to a press release the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) sent to WIC, they further commended all stakeholders for their role for the free and fair conduct of the elections.
Afar community residing in Ottawa said the results of May 23 national elections will have a significant contribution to consolidate peace and expedite the economic growth of the country.
The Harari community on their part said the elections results will further strengthen the unity among Ethiopians.
They further urged foreign forces to stop their interference in the country’s internal affairs.
Ethiopians residing in Toronto also expressed their delight over the successful completion of the elections.
