Vicnet's Research and Consultancy area also developed a keyboard layout and orthographic mapping for the Harari language of Ethiopia to automatically convert texts from one language to another.

The PLEASED website was developed by Vicnet's Internet Services area. It was designed to help others develop accessible services for people with a disability. The website holds Disability fact sheets, planning aids and a news section on innovations in the field. PLEASED stands for Public Libraries Enabling Accessible Services Encompassing Disability
